Schaublin 102VM The screwcutting version of the 102 lathe, this machine gives up some of its flexibility for feeds and screwcutting. The centre height is 102mm and it admits 450mm between centres. The machine features a massive 40mm leadscrew which is positioned below the bed and in a central position. Many of the accessories of the 102 plain lathe will fit this machine including tailstocks and milling attachments etc. Later machines changed in both appearance and construction with the addition of a feeds gearbox and a dovetail construction for the saddle slide.
