Sixis S103R Universal Milling
Machine
These
beautifully made precision mills are very similar to a Schaublin
13. They feature gearbox driven power feeds to the table in the
longitudinal and vertical planes as well as rapids. Earlier machines
had speeds from 60 to 1200 rpm whilst on later models these were
doubled. Spindle tapers were standard ISO 30.
A wide range of accessories were available
including high speed drilling head, slotting head, dividing head,
rotary table, and compound tilting table. I had a very well equipped
S103R as my main milling machine in my own workshop for a number
of years.
